
The St. Johns River Center is a joint effort between the City of Palatka, Fla., and Georgia-Pacific's Palatka Pulp and Paper Operations. The center focuses on the wetlands areas associated with the St. Johns River system.
The center serves as an educational resource regarding the ecological significance of wetlands, the conservation and sustainability of these areas and the need for a balanced approach to usage among all communities.
The St. Johns River Center, 102 N. First St. in Palatka, is open from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. on Sundays. Admission is free, for more information about the St. Johns River Center or other City facilities call 386-916-5916 or 386-329-0100, ext. 410.
