DEO CDBG DR funded at $2,771,371.97
City funded at $709,005.03
This project is to upgrade the storm water drainage system and aged sewer lines. It will include road reconstruction, site restoration, sidewalks and driveway aprons. The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity's Office of Long-Term Resiliency supports communities following disasters by addressing long-term recovery needs for housing, infrastructure and economic development. DEO is the governor-designated state authority responsible for administering all U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) long-term recovery funds awarded to the state.
The state of Florida has been allocated federal funding to support long-term disaster recovery through the Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery Program (CDBG-DR). CDBG-DR funding is designed to address housing, infrastructure, economic development and mitigation needs that remain after other assistance has been exhausted, including federal assistance as well as private insurance.
