Shrimping season: Problems in a Park? Let us know

As shrimping season returns to the St. Johns River, City staff is stepping up to ensure this annual Palatka tradition is enjoyable and safe for everyone.  

To keep Palatka’s Riverfront Park clean during the shrimping season, the Public Works Department has increased the amount of trash cans on the riverfront which are emptied three times a day, seven days a week. 

Public Works staff also checks the public restroom by the City Dock multiple times daily. 

Please inform us if you come across any issues on the river front or within any of the City parks. You can get in touch with the Public Works department at (386) 329-0107 or sending an email to publicworks@palatka-fl.gov. 

The City of Palatka values our public areas’ upkeep and safety and greatly appreciates your input if any issues require our attention.
