Palatka City Clerk Sunni Krantz, center, poses with City of Palatka 2023 Youth Ambassador members Chloe Dasher, Riley Blackmer, Reagan Blackmer and Amelia Simon.
The City of Palatka recently welcomed the City’s 2023 Youth Ambassadors. The six high school-aged ambassadors will take part in the second annual program championed by Commissioner Justin Campbell and run by City Clerk Sunni Krantz to give promising Palatka students firsthand experience in municipal government.
Over the course of the year-long program, the students will meet with City of Palatka officials, attend City meetings, shadow City department heads, and get hands-on experience in local government.
“The purpose of this program is to teach students about local government and about Palatka. We want our students to know that even after they go away to college, they can come home and make a difference,” said Clerk Krantz, “Together, we can grow our community. Palatka is important.”
Congratulations to the City of Palatka Youth Ambassador Class of 2023 Amelia Simon, Ayana Mattson, Chloe Dasher, Riley Blackmer, Reagan Blackmer, and Uma Tai.
