Parks and Recreation Special Permits Fees

Welcome to the City of Palatka Parks and Recreation special permits fees page. We offer a variety of permits for park usage, rentals, and special events. Below, you'll find details about the fees associated with these permits.

Park Permits

For information about park permits, please refer to Section 50-281 of the City of Palatka - Special Events Schedule of Fees.  Palatka Municipal Code,

Rentals (All rental fees include tax)

Booker Park Pavilion and Kitchen (Hours of Operation: 9 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.)

Full Day: $200**
Requires $50 cleaning fee minimum 
$250 deposit 

Price Martin Community Center (Hours of Operation: 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 p.m.)

Per Hour: $60*
Full Day: $450**

$250 deposit 
Requires $50 cleaning fee minimum

Bronson-Mulholland House (Hours of Operation: 9  a.m. – 10  p.m.)

Per Hour: $100*
Full Day: $800***
Requires $75 cleaning fee minimum
Rentals are limited due to ongoing renovations.

Any park gazebo, picnic pavilion, or open space (Rental only, Hours of Facility Rental Operation: 8 a.m. – 6  p.m.)

Full Day: $150
Requires $25 cleaning fee minimum

Forrester, Fred Green, and Shaw Buck ball fields (Hours of Operation: 9 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.)

Monday - Friday (Per Day): $50*
Saturday, Sunday: $100*
Requires $25 cleaning fee minimum

River Center (Hours of Operation: 9 a.m. - 10:30 p.m.)

Meeting Room (Per Hour): $30 *
Building and Roof (Per Hour, Excluding Lobby During Operating Hours): $75 **
Rooftop (Per Hour, Excluding Lobby During Operating Hours): $50 **
Building and Roof (Full Day, Excluding Lobby During Operating Hours): $800 **
Requires $50 cleaning fee minimum

**Requires $250 deposit.
***Requires $300 deposit.
Early access rate is $25 per hour (maximum of 2 hours).

Please note that additional fees may apply if extra cleaning or damage repairs are needed to return the facility to its original state. The additional fee for cleaning services is $25 per hour.

The City of Palatka reserves the right to require the presence of one or more police officers during any event, at a cost of $45 per hour per officer.

Special Events Schedule of Fees (Section 50-281)

Attendance is based on historical data. In cases where no historical data is available, the minimum fee shall be based on the lowest per-day fee. The attendance formula is calculated as the total attendance divided by the number of days of operation.

Permit Fees (Per Day):
Class A: Attendance of 5,000 plus - $400
Class B: Attendance of 1,001 to 5,000 - $300
Class C: Attendance of 101 to 1,000 - $100
Class D: Attendance of 10 to 100 - $50

Please note that school district events occurring on school district property are exempt from application fees but not from fees for services.

For special events with an estimated attendance of more than 30,000 for any one day, fees will be set by the City Commission.

Fees for Services Provided by City Personnel:

Police Personnel: $45 per hour (two-hour minimum)
Fire Personnel: $45 per hour (two-hour minimum)
Building Inspector: $45 per hour (two-hour minimum)
Public Works Personnel: $45  per hour (two-hour minimum)
Community Affairs Personnel: $45  per hour (two-hour minimum)
