Welcome to Arthur Billingsley, who was sworn in as the Palatka Municipal Airport’s newest advisory board member at the board’s meeting on Jan. 3. The airport board advises the City and Airport Managers on the operations of the City-owned facility.
The other members of the board are Wayne McClain, Jud Neufeld, John P. Browning, Jr., Melissa Miller, Ken Johnson, Mayor Robbi Correa and Dana Jones.
The next airport board meeting will be held on Feb. 28 at the airport and is open to the public.
The Airport was founded in 1938. On August 21, 1942, the Airport was officially named “Kay Larkin Field” for a local U.S. Army Air Corp pilot instructor and Palatka native killed during the Second World War.
