City of Palatka to Begin Waterline Replacement Project on Madison Street
Contractors for the City of Palatka are set to begin a major waterline replacement project along Madison Street on September 9, 2024. The project will focus on replacing the aging waterlines under the north sidewalks between 5th and 11th Streets. The construction is expected to last approximately 180 days, with the potential for earlier completion.
While the City and its contractors will strive to minimize disruptions, residents may experience temporary road and sidewalk closures as well as brief interruptions to water service during the construction period.
This project, with an estimated cost of $1,222,222, is part of Palatka's ongoing efforts to modernize its infrastructure and ensure the delivery of safe, reliable water to the community.
