[ARCHIVED] FIRE WEATHER WATCH ISSUED FOR PUTNAM COUNTY - OUTDOOR BURNING IS NOT RECOMMENDED

A FIRE WEATHER WATCH MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE FORECAST TO OCCUR.   WATCH FOR LATER FORECASTS AND POSSIBLE RED FLAG WARNINGS FROM PUTNAM COUNTY PUBLIC SAFETY.   A RED FLAG WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR PUTNAM COUNTY.

ANY FIRES THAT DEVELOP COULD SPREAD RAPIDLY. OUTDOOR BURNING IS NOT RECOMMENDED.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL OCCUR IN THE WARNING AREA. A COMBINATION OF STRONG WINDS, LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY, AND WARM TEMPERATURES CAN CONTRIBUTE TO EXTREME FIRE BEHAVIOR.
