Tuesday, August 29, 2023 — In advance of Hurricane Idalia, the City of Palatka is offering sandbag delivery to elderly or disabled City residents who cannot fill them on their own. For able residents, the City is providing free sandbags and sand across from the Palatka Fire Department’s main station on St. Johns Avenue. Distribution will be on a self-service basis and will be first-come, first-served.
