Program Overview: The City of Palatka Youth Ambassador Program (YAP) is designed to foster open and positive communication between City government and the youth of our community. Selected students will collaborate with the offices of the Mayor, City Commissioners, City Manager, City Clerk, and various City department directors. The program aims to develop leadership skills, civic responsibility, and public service awareness among youth.

Program Highlights: Educational and Awareness Programs: Youth Ambassadors will create a community service project addressing issues such as drug and gang education, anti-bullying, underage drinking and driving, and gun violence.

City Engagement: Students will attend city commission meetings, shadow city departments, volunteer at city events, and assist with community service projects.

Leadership Opportunities: Participants may attend events like the annual State League of Cities Conference as Youth Delegates and the State Legislative session as representatives of Palatka.
